Lindsay Dee Lohan was born in New York City, on 2 July 1986, to Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan. Her mother, Dina Lohan, née Donata Sullivan, is a former Rockette and Wall Street analyst, who now helps managing her daughter’s career. Her father, Michael Lohan, is a long-time Wall Street trader who developed his family’s multi-million-dollar pasta business, then sold it to pursue funding and development of major studios and independent Hollywood projects. She is sister of Michael Lohan, Ali Lohan (aka Aliana Lohan) and Dakota Lohan.

Declare Yourself is a campaign initiated during the 2004 United States presidential elections to encourage young people to register to vote. It began as the “Declaration of Independence Road Trip”, a 50-city cross-country tour of a rare Dunlap broadside of the Declaration of Independence lasting three-and-a-half years.

Diane Kruger (born July 15, 1976) is a German actress and former fashion model who gained international recognition from 2004 to 2005 for her performances in the films Troy, Wicker Park, National Treasure, and Joyeux Noël. She won the Cannes Film Festival Chopard Trophy in 2003.

Kruger was born Diane Heidkrüger in Algermissen, Germany, near Hildesheim. She is the daughter of bank employee Maria-Theresa and computer specialist Hans-Heinrich Heidkrüger. She was raised in Germany with her younger brother, Stefan. As a child, Diane wanted to become a ballerina, so her parents sent her to London to study with the Royal Ballet. After an injury ended her ballet career prematurely, Diane moved to Paris, France and turned her energies toward modeling.

In 1992, at the age of 16, Diane was a finalist in Elite’s “Look of the Year” competition. She returned to Germany and became a successful model in the mid-1990s in Germany as well as France. Her education in art led her to be able to speak nearly fluent English and French, in addition to her mother tongue, German.

Kruger soon became interested in acting and took lessons at the Cours Florent. She landed some small appearances in several French movies. She then shortened her surname to ease her movie career.

She made her onscreen debut in 2002 opposite Dennis Hopper and Christopher Lambert in The Piano Player, a TV-movie by Jean-Pierre Roux. Her first major role was the same year when she starred in her then husband’s directorial debut “Mon Idole”. She played Julie Wood in 2003′s Michel Valliant and Lisa in Wicker Park (2004), alongside Josh Hartnett and Rose Byrne. Her most notable role to date is her portrayal of Helen in Wolfgang Petersen’s epic Troy. She was ranked #50 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2005.

In 2004, she starred with Nicolas Cage and Sean Bean (who co-starred with her in Troy) in the popular film National Treasure, going on to appear in movies such as Joyeux Noël (2005) and Copying Beethoven (2006). She reprised her role as Dr. Abigail Chase in National Treasure: Book of Secrets, released in December 2007.

She was the hostess of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 60th Cannes Film Festival. She was also a member of the jury of the 59th Berlin International Film Festival in 2008.

After having dated since 1999, she married French actor and director Guillaume Canet on September 1, 2001. They divorced in 2006, but acted alongside one another in 2005 film Joyeux Noël. She is currently dating Joshua Jackson.

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson (born 15 April 1990) is a French-born British actress who rose to prominence playing Hermione Granger, one of three starring roles in the Harry Potter film series. Watson was cast as Hermione at the age of nine, having acted only in school plays. From 2001 to 2007, she starred in five Harry Potter film instalments alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. She will return for the final two installments: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, due to be released in 2009, and the two parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Watson’s work in the Harry Potter series has earned her several awards and more than £10 million.

Deepika Padukone (born January 5, 1986) is an Indian supermodel turned actress who appears in Bollywood movies. Padukone was born to Ujjala and Prakash Padukone on January 5, 1986, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her family moved to Bangalore, India, when she was only eleven months old. Her parents hail from Padukone village in Kundapura Taluk of Udupi District, Karnataka, India. Her father, Prakash Padukone, was a badminton player of international repute, and her mother is a travel agent. Deepika has a younger sister, Anisha, born in 1991.

Padukone attended Sophia High School in Bangalore. She completed her Pre-university studies at Mount Carmel College in Bangalore, India. While in high school she played badminton at the state level like her father and was a member of her father’s badminton club. However, she wasn’t keen on pursuing a career as a badminton player and abandoned it to concentrate on her ICSE exams..

Modeling

While pursuing her studies in college, she decided to pursue a career in modeling. Over the years, she has modeled for well-known Indian brand names such as Liril, Dabur Lal powder, Close-Up toothpaste and Limca. She received many prestigious modeling offers, which included brand ambassador for the Jewels of India retail jewellery show. Padukone hit the international scene when Maybelline made her their international spokesperson.

At the 5th annual Kingfisher Fashion Awards she was awarded the title “Model of the Year”. Shortly afterward, she was chosen as one of the models for the Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar for 2006 and won two trophies at the Idea Zee Fashion Awards: “Female Model of the Year – (Commercial Assignments)” and “Fresh Face of the Year” later that year. Padukone was also chosen as the brand ambassador of Kingfisher Airlines and later Levi Strauss and Tissot SA.

Acting

After pursuing a successful career in modeling, Padukone branched out into acting. She started by starring in the music video for the song Naam Hai Tera from the independent pop album Aap Kaa Surroor by Himesh Reshammiya.

In 2006, Padukone made her cinematic debut in the Kannada film Aishwarya starring opposite actor Upendra. She later made a successful Bollywood debut in 2007 with Farah Khan’s international hit Om Shanti Om opposite Shahrukh Khan. The film featured her portraying 1970s star Shantipriya and later as Sandhya, a young woman who looks exactly like Shantipriya. Her performance was well received, earning the actress a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award as well as her first Filmfare Best Actress nomination. Taran Adarsh from indiaFM noted, “Deepika has all it takes to be a top star — the personality, the looks and yes, she’s supremely talented too. Standing in the same frame as SRK and getting it right is no small achievement. She comes as a whiff of fresh air!”

Padukone next appeared in Siddharth Anand’s Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008) opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Padukone’s most recent release, the Warner Bros.-Bollywood collaboration, Chandni Chowk To China, released on January 16, 2009. As of January 2009, she is currently working on Imtiaz Ali’s Production No.1 opposite Saif Ali Khan.
